After almost a month of travelling and buffet breakfasts, it’s time to get back to basics with our nutrition. I would be quite happy not to even catch a whiff of a pancake, waffle or cinnamon french toast again for at least a month or two.
But breakfast basics doesn’t have to be bland and boring. In fact, breakfast is one of my favourite meals and it’s the best start to my day.
Muesli is oats exotic best friend.
Most of us don’t have time to spend an hour or two cooking up a storm in the mornings and that’s why something simple like a bowl of muesli is well simply perfect.
Sunsol has recently launched their new range of natural style muesli which are low in fat, sugars, sodium and a good source of dietary fibre. Best of all, they’re nutrient rich.
What does this mean?
Each muesli packet contains 10+ ingredients ranging from coconut, almonds, blueberries, raisins, cashews, puffed rice, apples, macadamia, cranberries, chia etc depending on which range you choose. And with prices starting from just $5.29 why would bother spending hours in the kitchen crafting your own blend of muesli?!
HB loves the ancient grains and superfruits blend and he makes it into overnight oats.
The night before he uses a 1:1 ratio with almond milk and in the morning he just has to grab it and go. Creamy, delicious heaven which keeps him going until lunchtime. Top with your favourite fresh or frozen berries in the morning and hey presto – easiest breakfast ever!
Maggie is also a big fan and she even loves to eat it as a trail mix. Strange kid!
A sure fire sign that it is great tasting if a three-year-old will happily munch away. This makes snacks on the go super easy for me, I just pop some in a zip lock bag and out the door we go. The Sunsol muesli bags are resealable which keeps everything fresh and delicious.
So if you’re into nuts, fruits or grains don’t worry there is a perfect blend just waiting for you.
