Judging by the comments on yesterday’s post there’s quite a few of us who are ready for a good spring clean out.
Imogen from Inside Out Style has some handy tips and advice on ‘Before You Throw It All Out For A Minimalist Wardrobe’.
What is a capsule wardrobe?
A capsule wardrobe suits me to a tee (ha!) as we live in a tiny apartment with limited space and also in a climate which has an endless Summer. I found this article by The Every Girl so helpful when I first started – ‘How to Create a Capsule Wardrobe. And Why You Should’.
A few weeks after I started my decluttering mission I bought this book: ‘My Happiness Project’ by Gretchen Rubin. In hindsight, I should have read it before I began because it has become my bible on life. I highly recommend this book to everyone who wants to find more space, peace and joy in their life.
Benefits of a capsule wardrobe:
- I’m spending less money.
- Getting dressed is so simple.
- I’m finding my own style for the first time in my life.
- More time in the day – less time is spent deciding what to wear, washing clothes, shopping etc ..

The girls wardrobes also got a clean out this week. And no matter how hard I try I will never be cooler than this kid. Maggie owns her style like a boss!
It’s a long weekend here in Darwin and we have a few activities planned. Today I’m trying out my first ever Crossfit class which is a tiny bit terrifying. If I make it through to the end of the day we will most likely end up here tonight for the sunset.
Have a fabulous weekend x
